Drew Glascott, Metricon’s General Manager of Sales and Marketing, shared his excitement, "Lunar New  Year is a time for family, food, and tradition, and we’re honored to celebrate with our customers in such a  meaningful way. This being our fifth collaboration with Diana Chan makes the event even more special.  The Year of the Snake, known for its association with wisdom, intuition, and transformation, inspires the  event’s theme of renewal and prosperity. We invite everyone to embrace these qualities while celebrating  the rich traditions of Lunar New Year.”

Diana Chan echoed the sentiment: “Lunar New Year is all about togetherness, great food, and creating  lasting memories. I’m thrilled to partner with Metricon again to bring these traditions to life in such an elegant  and inspiring setting. Metricon’s continued dedication to celebrating this important holiday shows how much  they value cultural diversity and community connection.”

Tips for Hosting a Magical Lunar New Year Celebration

Metricon and Diana Chan are also sharing their top tips to help you host a memorable Lunar New Year gathering:

Create a Festive Atmosphere: Decorate with vibrant red and gold accents, paper lanterns, and fresh  blooms like peonies or orchids to symbolise luck and prosperity. For lighting, Metricon’s partnership  with Amphis will ensure a warm and inviting glow. Plan a Prosperous Menu: Serve symbolic dishes like dumplings (wealth), whole fish (abundance) and longevity noodles.

Complement with fresh oranges and tangerines for good fortune.

Offer Thoughtful Favors: Delight your guests with red envelopes filled with coins or chocolates, a  gesture that embodies goodwill and luck.

Embrace Tradition: Include activities like sharing red envelopes, wearing red attire, and hosting a  simple tea ceremony to engage guests in meaningful traditions.

Design an Inclusive Seating Arrangement: Round tables encourage conversation and togetherness.  Add centrepieces featuring mandarin oranges, bamboo, or gold coins to enhance the festive vibe.
