Brisbane’s property market has soared over the past several years, which has made it increasingly difficult for bargain hunters searching for their dream home. Whether you’re looking for an easy commute to work, good schools, a laidback lifestyle, or just a great neighbourhood with the right vibe, Brisbane can offer all that – but at what cost? These three Brisbane suburbs offer affordability, a great lifestyle, and more – check them out!

Top Bargain-Hunter Suburbs

Brendale

Brendale is a rapidly growing suburb of Moreton Bay City Council very close to Brisbane. The suburb is known for its industrial area, but also for its community-friendly lifestyle, good public transport, and its proximity to the Brisbane CBD and major retail hubs like Chermside and Strathpine. It’s also close to good schools in nearby Bald Hills and Strathpine. In Brendale, the median house price is $595,000, which is less than what you’d pay for a one-bedroom unit in the city. It's this affordability along with the community-friendly lifestyle that is attracting so many first-time buyers and young families to this area. It’s unlikely that buyers and investors are going to sleep on Brendale for long.

Bellbird Park

Bellbird Park is a leafy, peaceful suburb in Ipswich’s highly desirable western corridor. The suburb is growing fast, with the western corridor experiencing a wave of new investment and development. The area offers its residents an enticing mix of a strong community-based lifestyle, ample green spaces, and affordability. With a median house price of just $746,000, Bellbird Park is hugely appealing to first-time buyers and investors, as well as families and couples.

Beaudesert

Beaudesert is a lovely rural town in the Scenic Rim region of southeast Queensland. This peaceful town offers a balance between a rural lifestyle and easy access to both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, which are both an hour drive away. Beaudesert has a thriving cafe and wine scene, as well as excellent bushwalking opportunities, sporting facilities, and several good schools. While Beaudesert isn’t a major city, its median house price of just $655,000 is very affordable compared with both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, making is a great place to both buy and invest. In recent times, it's been experiencing a period of development, including new commercial and residential estates. Beaudesert isn’t just popular with first-time home buyers or those looking to make a treechange – professionals who work from home also live the relaxed vibe Beaudesert offers without the horror of an hour-long commute.
